A Personal Story Turned Brand

Landy Valdes is the creative force behind YEAH!. Born in Cuba, he grew up watching his mother sew, playing with fabric scraps, imagining what they could become. That fascination with textiles—touching them, draping them, understanding how they move—became his design language.

"For me, design isn't just aesthetics. It's a way to connect with those seeking something more, something authentic. Each garment tells a story; our story."

Origin and Motivation

A Dream That Began in Cuba

Growing up in Cuba, Landy watched his mother sew his clothes because access to fashion was limited. He played with fabric scraps that fell into a bucket, draping them on dolls, imagining what they could become. That's where his obsession with textiles began. In Cuba, "inventar" means creating solutions with nothing. That survival mentality became Landy's design philosophy: don't follow, invent.

 

"I grew up where you had to 'invent' to get ahead. That shaped my design process. I create for those seeking something authentic."

Garments as an Extension of the Body

Landy's design philosophy balances two priorities: performance and aesthetics. Functionality is non-negotiable, but aesthetics matter equally.
